Deok Cham meeting also offered. \nThe Uposatha Observation is an ancient practice in which both lay and monastic practitioners placed special effort\, attention to renewing and rededicating themselves to the study and practice of the Dharma. These observations fell on Full Moon periods of the lunar calendar. WLHZ continues in this practice tradition by reciting together the Five Precepts of ethical conduct.

DESCRIPTION:We honor the Buddha of Healing in Mahāyāna Buddhism (Bhaisajyaguru)\, commonly referred to as the “Medicine Buddha”. This Buddha is described as a doctor who cures dukkha (suffering) and karmic ills of body and mind using various medicines of the profound and subtle dharma. This Sunday’s ceremony focuses on aspirations for healing and wellness for friends\, loved ones\, and ourselves as we concentrate on Yaksayeorebul (in Korean)\, through mantra chanting\, offerings\, recitations of the names of those who need some TLC\, and dedication of merit for the wellbeing of all who suffer. Namu Yaksayeorebul!
