Ongoing Studies — Year Two and Year Three Trainings
Additional training stages are available for students who have fully completed the Lotus Root Training period, have professed Three Refuge and Five Precept vows, and are active sangha participants.

Year two studies give one a basic understanding of and familiarity with the Mahayana School of Buddhism — its principles and practices — including Sunyata and the Bodhisattva ideal. Year three study focuses on zen teachings from both ancient and contemporary zen masters.

Those discerning lay Diaconate (Haengja) Profession or Monastic (Sunim) Profession of vows are required to enter into these Trainings.
